On July 30th, Marcelo Papa, Technical Director of Concha y Toro, and Germán Di Césare, Winemaker for Trivento, were part of the webinar “Traversing Chile and Argentina.”
The online seminar, which was organized by SommCon, The SOMM Journal and The Tasting Panel Magazine, sought to explore the geography of the wine regions of Argentina and Chile at the hand of the industry leaders.
Marcelo Papa presented the Limari Valley through his wine Marques de Casa Concha Chardonnay, while Germán Di Césare, presented on Eolo and the Malbec from Lujan de Cuyo. The other panelists were Daniel Pi, Trapiche; Alejandro Pepa, El Esteco; Ben Gordon, Bodega Volcanes de Chile; Jeff Mausbach, Tinto Negro; Ricardo Rivadeneira, El Maquis; and Aurelio Montes Jr., Viña Montes. The webinar was moderated by Lars Leicht, VP of Communications and Education for The SOMM Journal.
This was a free seminar that received voluntary contributions for The Somm Relief Project, which is dedicated to supporting trade members affected by COVID-19 and non-profit organizations.
