Shanghai and Beijing hosted Wines of Chile’s 90+ event, bringing together Chile’s finest modern wines.
Wines of Chile held the 90+ event in Shanghai on October 16 and in Beijing on October 18. The event gave Concha y Toro and some 40 other Chilean winemakers a chance to showcase some of their finest wines to trade representatives, journalists, and consumers. The selected wines included Don Melchor 2014, Carmín de Peumo 2010, Gravas del Maipo 2011, and Marques de Casa Concha Pinot Noir 2015 – all of which have been awarded score of 90 or more by top international critics.
The event was divided into three phases: 90+ Symposium, a masterclass by experts Tim Atkin, Fongyee Walker, and Lu Yang on the characteristics of Chile’s wine country, from the Andean slopes down to the coast; 90+ Hall, where trade figures and consumers had a chance to meet and talk with the owners, winemakers, and representatives of the winemakers present at the event; and the 90+ Media Dinner, showcasing wines and their food pairings for wine writers and journalists. Concha y Toro was represented by its Wine Ambassador for Asia, Pablo Pressac.
