Marques de Casa Concha has reinforced its union with haute cuisine, as official sponsor of the 2022 Star Revelation Gala Dinner on August 30th in the city of Taipei, Taiwan.
After the uncertainty of the last two years, Michelin was proud to announce the 6 stars selected for its 2022 edition. The Michelin 2022 Star Revelation Press Conference and Gala Dinner officially took place on 30 August 2022 in the Mandarin Oriental in Taipei. The 2022 edition also marked the incorporation of two new cities – Tainan and Kaohsiung – to the selection of restaurants.
On that star-studded evening, a magnificent six-course dinner was presented by three local chefs whose hometowns are in different parts of the island, including Taichung, Pintung, and Yilan; and three international chefs who are based locally, celebrating the diversity of the local gastronomy scene that makes the destination a vibrant hub for professionals from all over the world.
The local chefs were Kai Ho from 2-Michelin-starred Taïrroir (Taipei), Yang Kuang Tsung from 1-Michelin-starred Tien Hsiang Lo (Taipei) and Chen Yung-Hua from 1-Michelin-starred Mipon (Taipei). They were joined by Singaporean chef Jimmy Lim from 2-Michelin-starred JL Studio (Taichung), Japanese chef Ryogo Tahara from 2-Michelin-starred Logy (Taipei), and Hong Kong-born chef Cheung Kwok Pong from 1-Michelin-starred Ya Ge (Taipei).
The dishes paid tribute to the flavours and native ingredients from across the island, while drawing inspiration from iconic local street food.
Marques de Casa Concha Chardonnay 2020 and Marques de Casa Concha Syrah 2019. They were paired with the dishes by Jimmy Lim and Kai Ho from Taïrroir respectively, aiming to provide a perfect pairing for the creativity of these Michelin-starred chefs.
This culinary challenge showcases how the brand’s style makes it the perfect companion for a wide range of high-end cuisine.
