Lucy Shaw, Editor-in-Chief of The Drinks Business, visited Pirque to taste the cold-weather wines and write a new article on Chile for the renowned British magazine.

With the purpose of writing a report on cold-weather wines, Lucy Shaw, came once again to Chile. She is managing editor of The Drinks Business, one of the top British wine magazines.

On August 3rd, she came to the Concha y Toro winery in Pirque, where she was greeted by Thomas Domeyko, Corporate Export Manager North Zone, and Isabel Guilisasti, Marketing Manager of Specific Origin Wines. She had lunch with them in the Casona and spoke about the company’s innovations and the current situation of Chilean wines in the British market.

After lunch, the journalist participated in a wine tasting to compare Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the Marques de Casa Concha line produced in Limarí and Biobío. This wine tasting was led by winemaker, Marcelo Papa, who explained to Shaw the main characteristics of both valleys and wines.

The vineyard sommelier, Massimo Leonori, was also responsible for showing her the other coastal wines in stock, including Amelia 2016, Terrunyo Sauvignon Blanc 2016 and Gran Reserva Serie Riberas Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay 2016.
