MARQUES CASA CONCHA MERLOT 2014 CHOSEN AS CHILE’S BEST WINE IN 2017 WINE100 CHALLENGE

One of China’s foremost competitions selected Marques de Casa Concha Merlot as Chile’s Best Wine, marking a new milestone for the brand in the chinese market.

The sixth Wine100 Challenge, one of China’s top wine competitions, awarded the 2014 vintage of Marques de Casa Concha Merlot a gold medal and named it the best Chilean wine.

Wine100 Challenge 2017, held from 16 to 18 May in Shanghai, had a jury of renowned international experts including close to twenty Masters of Wine, journalists, bloggers, heads of purchasing, sommeliers, and enologists. The panel was led by figures such as Andrew Caillard MW, Fongyee Walker MW, and Jane

Skilton MW, in charge of a blind tasting of over 850 wines from around the world. Winning wines will take part in a coming tour taking in 12 Chinese cities, with tastings for consumers and trade buyers, where the 2014 Marques de Casa Concha Merlot can showcase the unique features that make it Chile’s number one wine.

Marques de Casa Concha Merlot, created by winemaker Marcelo Papa, is born in the Maule Valley’s San Clemente vineyard. It is celebrated for its powerful color, concentrated red fruit, and unique freshness in the mouth. It is a wine that stands out for its remarkable balance and structure.
